Niacinamide: Also known as vitamin B3, niacinamide can improve the appearance of enlarged pores, brighten dull skin, as well as defend against environmental toxins. Niacinamide also has a hydrophilic molecular structure, meaning it attracts water from its environment.

Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid): Vitamin C in its most efficacious form, L-Ascorbic acid is a powerful antioxidant. It is known for its ability to brighten the appearance of hyperpigmentation and effectively defend from oxidative stress.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol): A hydrophobic molecule, meaning a molecule that is not water soluble, Tocopherol restores hydration by nourishing the lipid barrier and preventing the evaporation of existing moisture, known as transepidermal water loss, or TEWL. It also acts as an antioxidant and is highlighted by its stabilizing abilities in this formula.

Rose Hip Oil: Rose hip seed oil offers soothing and moisturising benefits. It also contains levels of vitamin C to help brighten the complexion and deliver an antioxidant boost.

The plant (adored by bees) is otherwise known as ‘starflower’ thanks to its beautiful blue star-shaped flowers that accompany the distinctive fuzzy red stems.  The key benefit of borage seed oil is its sky-high concentration of a type of essential fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). Blackcurrant oil and evening primrose oil are often lauded as excellent sources of this, but borage oil actually boasts almost twice the concentration, gram for gram. We’re talking around 17-20% GLA in borage oil vs evening primrose oil’s 7-10%.

Salicylic Acid: Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid that is ideal for cleansing problematic skin. It aids in shedding dead skin, helping pores stay clear. It helps to clear acneic blemishes by retexturing the skin and reducing excess oil. With anti-ageing properties, it also targets the appearance of dull and damaged skin

Kojic Acid: Brightener that inhibits an enzyme necessary in the production of melanin, helping to fade dark spots and discolouration. It also delivers some antioxidant protection

Alpha- Arbutin: This natural skin whitening agent functions by inhibiting. The body’s production of tyrosinase, an enzyme that catalyses the production of melanin via oxidization. By preventing this chemical process from occurring in
the skin, Arbutin helps to relieve hyperpigmentation.

Jojoba Seed Oil: This natural element supports healthy skin cells, promotes firmness and elasticity, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles

Squalane: Squalane is a natural organic compound and natural moisturiser. Squalene has a tiny molecular structure, which allows it to penetrate the skin and absorb easily

This natural ingredient delivers restorative moisturization to the skin and improves the natural skin barrier to lock in moisture and help protect the skin from environmental exposure.

Once bound to the receptors, retinoic acid causes changes including, but not limited to, faster turnover of skin cells, increased collagen production, and lightening of brown spots.
